Merchant and Mills Dress Shirt
Merchant and Mills patterns are great. This is now the second one that I have made. I don't make many clothes (it's a time thing), but this Dress Shirt is the second Merchant and Mills pattern that I've gone for. I think it is the wear-ability of the patterns. Popover Poncho Love (and Coating Fabric in Sale)
This Christmas I actually finished all my gift makes in reasonable time (the first miracle) and was relaxed enough to sneak in some sewing for fun (the second miracle). I opted for the new April Rhodes pattern, The Popover Poncho. It was the perfect choice. Such a quick and simple pattern, a really joy to sew. A Kelly Skirt in Stripy Linen
I made this skirt back at the end of July... oh my word is it October already? It was a really fun quick make and I have had a lot of wear out of it. The pattern is the Kelly Skirt from Megan Nielsen. We only have this available as a pdf download - I am occasionally badgering Megan to start printing again! I made it up in some of this lush stripy linen mix fabric, and made covered buttons and the pocket liners out of fat quarter of Silver Lining cloud fabric... a great match. Continue reading →
