Chambray & Shot Cotton
‘Shot’ is the term used to describe the effect created by using one colour in the warp and a different colour in the weft of the fabric. Chambray is a plain-weave, durable fabric, most commonly cotton. It has the mottled look, similar to denim, of white weft and coloured (often blue) warp threads. Chambray is ideal for a range of uses, from shirts, tunics and dresses to quilting and home furnishings.
