A Month In Snapshot: March 2015

Wow, April already!  March was nuts here at Backstitch.  We had a whole lot going on and we had some exciting times.  As well as masses of new stock coming in we took Backstitch out on the road to the Duxford Quilt Festival, and had our first birthday party in the shop. The show was great fun, setting up a subsection of our shop just two junctions down on the M11. We met lots of new faces and nattered with plenty of old faces too.  And then the party just blew us away with a queue snaking right around our modest space.  So many regulars turned up and it really highlighted how many friends and friendly faces I have met in the shop in the last year.  

• New sewing pattern arrivals in March include the Beatrice Pinafore from Sew Me Something, the Sophia Dress from By Hand London, the Sewaholic Davie Dress, and twelve new patterns from Named Clothing.
• New quilt fabric collections include Moody Blues from Geninne, Forest Parade from Petit Collage, Yoyogi Park from Skinny LaMinx and On the Wing from Abi Hall.
• New dress fabric collections include Clipdot Embroidered Cotton Lawn, Chambray Union from Robert Kaufman, and some new colours of the ever popular Peppered Shot Cotton.
• We have expanded our range of Aurifil threads (and now have a lush new stand for them too), have gone nuts buying Bias Binding and we're building our bag hardware, and cutting tools selection too.
• On Classes, we are just starting to release our Spring/ Summer schedule.  Not all of our new classes are up there yet, but there are some new dates for old favourite, so if you have been waiting for something go take a look.
