Machine Basics: Bunting

Beloved of village fetes and weddings, bunting is also great for livening up a kitchen, children's room or summer house and is a wonderful gift. Did you know it's also a great way to get to know your sewing machine?
In this class you will learn to thread your machine, change a needle, wind a bobbin, stitch in a straight line and change your stitch and speed settings. You will also learn to pivot, chain piece and use a rotary cutter along with discovering some tips and tricks to make sure your bunting looks fabulous.

All our classes are non-refundable and non-transferable. We urge you to carefully check your diary prior to booking to ensure that you can attend. We also need three students enrolled on the class otherwise it is subject to cancellation. By purchasing this class you are agreeing to our full class policy.
Class Materials and Equipment
Materials for this class are not included in the price. You will need to bring the following:
Machine: You need to have your own working sewing machine to bring with you (bring the manual too if you have one). We do have a limited number of shop machines that can be borrowed. These need to be booked in advance.
Supplies: 2 (or more for variety) x Fat quarters of cotton fabric (non directional prints are more economical), 3 x metres of bias binding, 1 x 100m spool of Gutermann Sew All or similar thread.
Haberdashery: You may find it useful to bring your own scissors, tape measure, pins and chalk, although we will have these to borrow, and please do bring a notepad and pen.
