Class Policy


In order to register for a class we require full advance payment. This can be done either on our website, in the Burwash shop or by telephone.  By booking onto a class you are agreeing to our cancellation policy.


To enable us to run a class we require a minimum of two students. We reserve the right to cancel a class if we do not get this number registering. In the event that we have to cancel a class you will receive a full refund of the class fees.


All our classes are non-refundable and non-transferable.  We urge you to carefully check your diary prior to booking to ensure that you can attend.

If circumstances change, and you are unable to attend, you can send someone else in your place, but you will need to let us know the name of the new student in advance.

Or, if you notify us more than 14 days prior to the start of the class we can offer a transfer to another class if places are available, or a credit note to the value of the class.

In the unlikely event that a class is cancelled by Backstitch a full refund will be given.


A list of class materials and any preparation required prior to the class is specified on the class product page on our website. This varies from class to class and often some of these materials will be included in the price of the class.  It is your responsibility to prepare your materials so that you are ready to learn when the class starts.  Please be aware that you may not wish to purchase materials until the minimum class number has been reached.
