The Merchant and Mills Trapeze Dress is a flared dress, just below the knee, with small neat shoulders and shallow rounded neckline. It has the option of a button through back or a simple slip over the head. The trapeze is so easy to make and so easy to wear. Make it for the winter in Harris tweed teamed with a chunky brogue, in a bold block print or a washed linen for the summer. It is endlessly versatile.
You have the option of making this 3/4 sleeved, sleeveless and short sleeved, all with a button back opening.
This is a multi-size paper pattern in an envelope, including sizes 8 – 18. Seam allowances are included in the pattern at 1.5cm, unless otherwise stated.
Notions:
You will need 0.35M of fusible interfacing for the sleeveless version and 0.25M of fusible interfacing for the sleeved version both views.
For the button back option you will need 10 x buttons 20 – 23mm for the dress. For the top you will need 6 buttons.
Suitable fabrics: Wool, Linen, Cotton and most woven cloth.
Fabric requirements: See sizing charts in product images. Trapeze top version (sleeveless): You will need 0.8M less than the stated fabric requirements
