Sew... A Christmas Sack

1 x 3hr Session

Class Length: Classes are 3 hours long
Number in Class: 6
Entry Level: You will need to have completed one of our ‘Sewing Machine Basics’ courses or have similar experience with a machine.  This means you must be able to thread the machine on your own, wind a bobbin, and go forwards and backwards with straight stitch.
Materials: You will need to bring 2 half metres of contrasting Christmas themed fabric, and 1 metre of complimentary fabric, matching thread and a 1m cord or ribbon drawstring. You will also need a piece of bondaweb to personalise the sack. Scraps of Christmas fabric for the appliqué will be provided but if you have something specific in mind you will need to bring this along as well.
Tutor: Jemma Dell

Any child would be delighted to find this large, personalised, reversible sack stuffed full of presents under the tree on Christmas Day. In this class you will be taught how to appliqué letters or a festive design onto the sack using bondaweb and your choice of hand or machine stitching. You will then use the sewing machine to construct a simple, reversible drawstring bag.  Once mastered this technique can be used to create bags of a variety of sizes and proportions suitable for laundry bags, gift bags for jewellery or bottles, or PE bags for school.

All our classes are non-refundable and non-transferable.  We urge you to carefully check your diary prior to booking to ensure that you can attend.  We also need two students enrolled on the class otherwise it is subject to cancellation.  By purchasing this class you are agreeing to our full class policy.
