The half square triangle is one of the most useful quilt blocks to learn. It can be used in so many ways to create so many different patterns and designs. Once you have mastered this block you open up a whole world of new quilts!

In this class we will use a rotary cutter and ruler, along with the sewing machine, to create several 4.5 inch half square triangles. We will also look at different options for combining them to create a myriad of patterns.

Students are welcome to either bring their own machines (bring your manual too!) or use the Backstitch machines for free. We will be teaching using a 1/4 inch foot which the Backstitch machines are equipped with.

Materials List:
2 contrasting fat quarters. Please see our Quilt Fabric section.
Thread suitable for piecing. We recommend Aurifil 50wt
If you would like to buy these items from the shop we are happy to help you choose on the day or pop in beforehand.
