Tilly and the Buttons' newest sewing pattern, the Dominique Skirt, is a dream to sew up. It is the perfect pattern for novice stitchers, or a really quick and easy sew for the more experienced dressmaker.

The straight skirt version is the simplest for beginners. It has been designed with straight seams so beginners can practise their stitching. It also has an elasticated waistband meaning that there are no fiddly zips or buttonholes. Easy! Choose from a knee-length or above-the-knee hemline, and add the optional turnover top patch pockets for a design twist.

The flared version of the skirt is slightly more challenging, as it's cut on the bias. A drapier fabric would look gorgeous with this version, to create a flowing silhouette. Choose from knee length or on-trend midi hemline, with optional turnover top pockets, belt loops and an elegant sash.
