A Month In Snapshot: May 2016
We've had a fab month of May at Backstitch. We have welcomed a new member of staff into the shop. Many of you will have met Suzanne already, she is busy learning the ropes and getting to know all our regulars! We've had a stack of new fabric in, and welcome brand new pattern house 'How To Do Fashion' from Denmark. I've been doing lots of knitting, mainly working on the baby cardigan pattern that we use in one of our classes.
In other news...
- New sewing patterns this month are all those from 'How To Do Fashion'. The Concord Tee and Upton Dress from Cashmerette, the Willow Tank Dress from Grainline, the Axel Skirt and Sudley Dress from Megan Nielsen.
- New quilting cotton has come in: Muslin Mates Whispers from Studio M; Foxglove by Aneela Hoey; Cotton Candy by Susan Driscoll.
- We've expanded our range of Stonewashed 100% Linen to as the small range we initially got in has been so well received.
- In Yarn news, the new Debbie Bliss Cotton Denim DK has been selling really well, along with the accompanying book. And, we've got the new Summer issue of Pom Pom Quarterly which is full of summer makes.
- On Classes we have released our summer schedule including six brand new classes: Crochet... an Amigarumi Animals; Crochet... a Ripple Blanket; Intro to English Paper Piecing; Sew... a Fabric Storage Bin; Knit... a Baby Cardigan; and Dressmaking Tech: Seam Finishing.
- I blogged my Big Grey Shawl, and have been working on my baby cardigan from the class.
