The pattern includes two variations: An A-line dress and a half-sleeve top
Both variations have a loose fit, a boat neck and long bust darts at the front
The dress has a lowered waistline, and an above the knee length skirt. The dress is lined, and it has straight, ¾-length sleeves, two pleats in the front and back skirt and an invisible zipper at the back
The top is cropped and it has wide half-sleeves
Select a light- or medium-weight fabric for the dress. The fabric can be non-stretch or with slight stretch. The sample is made up in a wool crepe.
Select a medium-weight jersey for the top. For example interlock, ponte or scuba jersey. The sample is made of scuba.
Use knit interfacing for knits and other stretch fabrics, and woven (or non-woven) interfacing for non-stretch.

Lining for the dress: 110 – 215 cm / 1¼ – 2½ yd
Fabric for the top: 100 – 160 cm / 1 – 1¾ yd
Fusible interfacing (both variations): 20 cm / ¼ yd
60 cm / 24” invisible zipper for the dress
Hook and eye for the dress
Clear elastic for the top: approx. 20 cm / 8”


The pattern package includes the pattern sheet and an instructions booklet. Patterns need to be traced to a separate pattern paper before cutting. The instructions booklet includes illustrated sewing instructions, material consumption chart and finished measurements.

    • Named is a Finnish DIY fashion label that produces patterns for fashion clothing. Named garments are a combination of Scandinavian clean-lined simplicity and interesting details. The aim of the collections is to bring a new perspective to making one’s own clothes and to support ethical and ecological consuming in contrast to a clothing industry focused on fast fashion. Named releases two main collections a year. The patterns have five levels of difficulty, which allows anyone from a beginner to a more experienced sewer to find patterns suited to their skill level. Patterns come with a comprehensive instructions booklet that includes for example detailed and illustrated sewing instructions, cutting layout, material consumption chart and finished measurements for all sizes. The patterns and instructions are designed and printed in Helsinki, Finland.
