Class Length: Classes are 3 hours.
Number in Class: 6

Materials: We will supply you with a piece of base linen and thread. However, you will need to bring with you (or purchase on the day): A selection of fabric scraps and a piece (0.5m will be plenty) of bondaweb.
Tutor: Jemma Dell

Free motion applique is a modern technique that is really gaining in popularity at the moment. It is a great way to use your sewing machine creatively. It is not difficult, you don’t even need to be ‘artistic’ to get some great results!

In this class you will be taken through the process to create your own appliquéd picture, including sources of inspiration and choosing fabrics, as well as how to use your machine to create a fabulous, unique picture.

Students are welcome to either bring their own machines (you will also need a darning foot) or you can use the Backstitch machines for free.

Please be aware that we need two students enrolled on the class otherwise it is subject to cancellation.  By purchasing this class you are agreeing to our class policy.
