Oh boy, we've been rather snowed under at Backstitch this June.  You can probably tell as the last blog post was about what we had been doing in May!  We have been totally absorbed by our refit of the new double size shop space.  We are nearly finished so thank you for bearing with us during this period of disruption (and bloggy silence!) Our social media feeds have been reporting our progress in the shop as you can see from some of the images in the above compilation, and it is going to be SUCH a wonderful space.  Lots of new retail space and a super studio area. In other news...
  • New sewing pattern arrivals in June include the Vintage Shirt Dress from Sew Over It which hits their vintage style perfectly; The Sorrell Trousers and the Xerea Dress both from Pauline Alice Patterns.
  • New quilt fabric collections include: the wonderful Lizzy House Natural History which has been flying out; the Sunburst Stripe from Dear Stella which is scrummy for quilting or dressmaking; these fab Passport map prints; and Halloween fabric in the shape of Mischief Night by Dinara Mirtalipova.
  • We've also got some fab new dress fabrics in.  Lots of new knits as well as some other beauties such as this Herringbone Linen, this Navy Chino and loads of lovely new denim.
  • On Classes, our 'Embroidery Basics' stitch series classes has started with Line Stitches but their are still places on the Chain, Looped and Knotted stitch classes.  We have a Wednesday morning run and a Thursday evening run.  Find all our classes here.
